An idea is hatched...
REAKTO was born out of a genuine need to protect a family mountain home that had been repeatedly vandalised and looted. Its remote location made it impossible to provide a rapid response to a potential threat. Another burglary in March made us think – WHAT IF WE USED A DRONE TO GET TO THE SITE FAST?
This idea is quickly transformed into a plan, while market research and the obvious needs of the security industry only confirm our belief that a rapid response drone network is an innovation we simply must develop. We begin developing our own technology – the first drone prototype and a docking station concept are created. We review our technical capabilities as a team and analyse the project's complexity.
The time comes to present our idea and plan to those directly associated with the security industry. During discussions with security agencies, we confirm our assumptions and the need for the service we have defined. We also enter into first collaborations with companies showing an interest in our idea.
We formalise our existing activities and register our company as REAKTO Sp. z o.o., with its registered office in Kraków. We expand our team, which by now comprises more than 10 people. We work on another drone prototype and design a docking station.
We achieve further milestones on the path to attaining our objective – we sign letters of intent with two security agencies interested in taking part in a pilot run of our service in 2022.
Our activities gain momentum. We launch our first large-scale crowdfunding campaign on the SMARTFUNDS platform.
We meet our targets! Thanks to an extensive information and promotional campaign, we finalise the crowdfunding campaign on the Smartfunds platform, raising more than PLN 1.3 million in capital to be invested in company development.
We open new company headquarters in Kraków and create a suitable working space for our team. This is to enable us to carry out research and development work and prepare the necessary facilities for implementing the pilot run.
We conduct internal testing of the service.
The development pace of our company accelerates. We sign letters of intent and pilot agreements with enterprises from the security industry. We proceed to establish cooperation 3with local authorities, signing letters of intent with the municipality of Skawina and the town of Mysłowice.
Our concept meets reality. We begin tests of our Rapid Response Drone Network in real-world conditions together with our partner companies from the security sector: Seris Konsalnet, Taurus Ochrona, Capital Security, VIP Security System and Sezam Ochrona.
Our long-term objective is the creation of an autonomous drone infrastructure (a network of docking stations and a fleet of drones) used comprehensively to deliver a wide range of services as part of the SMART CITY and INDUSTRY 4.0 concepts. The security industry is the first sector in which we are deploying our service; however, we are conscious of the potential of the system we are developing. For this reason, we have plans to scale vertically.
